BIOGRAPHY

Qinglin Zhang is the Director of Equipment and Manufacturing Engineering at PowerCo Canada Inc., where he leads process and equipment strategy for Volkswagen Group’s St. Thomas Gigafactory, one of North America’s most advanced EV battery manufacturing projects.

Qinglin draws on a deep background in materials science, electrochemistry, and large-scale manufacturing. He has held leadership roles at General Motors, Rivian, and Volkswagen, contributing to advances in solid-state batteries and gigafactory engineering that support scalable, sustainable energy storage across global markets.
