Ram Chandrasekaran is the head of Road Transportation at Wood Mackenzie. He studies the evolution of global transportation to assess the impact of various commodities on the automotive industry as it trends toward de-carbonization. His 15 years of experience in the automotive industry has given him a wealth of knowledge in EV manufacturing, operations, and costs, as well as the impact of EVs on complying with government-mandated fleet fuel economy regulations. Previously, he spent six years at Ford Motor Co., specializing in hybrid and electric vehicles.
Ram holds a master’s in engineering management from Wayne State University, an MS in automotive systems from the University of Michigan – Dearborn, and a BS in mechanical engineering from Anna University.
